Mayorkas wasn't voted in, what election are you talking about? Theoretically biden could be in office for 5 more years, and you're suggesting we should keep mayorkas in his position regardless of the damage he's causing by his dereliction of duty.

What impeachable offences has he committed?

In the second impeachment article, the committee Republicans accused Mayorkas of "knowingly making false statements to Congress and the American people and avoiding lawful oversight in order to obscure the devastating consequences of his willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law and carry out his statutory duties."

The committee pointed to previous testimony from Mayorkas, when he confirmed that the border was "closed" and said the department had "operational control" of the border, as evidence of his false statements to Congress. It also argued that Mayorkas had breached the public trust by "refusing to carry out his statutory duty to control the border and guard against illegal entry."

I'll let you find the first article of impeachment.

Uh, the freaking presidential election. I case you were unaware the Prez gets to name his own cabinet. Or are you worried the border scam isn't working, again?

No, we are suggesting they don't continue with performative non-governing farces which have no hope of passing the senate. A waste of everyone's time and money for ZERO actual change. How about passing new border laws?

They also killed the bipartisan bill that was negotiated specifically to address the immigration issues that the GOP are complaining endlessly about. The reason of course is that Diaper Donnie deemed it potentially injurious to his campaign to get away with high crimes and misdemeanors - as in actual ones that are in a court of law and which have reams of evidence to support the charges.

What exactly was Secretary Mayorkas' high crime and misdemeanor here? How is the House GOP not complicit in any of these so-called charges seeing as they had a bill in place to address this that was bipartisan and which they then walked away from due to pressure from the Far Right Extremists. If you're so convinced, care to make a bet with me for real money that there will be no court cases or charges against Mayorkas?

The GOP has now admitted their entire immigration agenda.  They absolutely have no interest in fixing the problem at the border.  They only want to complain about it and blame the POTUS.  Their scheme will be broadcasted to all of America over and over again until November.

Sooooo, it was OK for the Dems to waste taxpayers money on their 2 that went nowhere, but it's different when the GOP does it!

The situation was created by Biden, so why wouldn't they use it to show how useless he is?

You need to be more clear. From your post and response, it seems most folk, including me, thought you were referring to yourself.

The Senate tried to fix it.  That bi-partisan bill was heavily tilted towards what the GOP wanted in terms of immigration reform.  It would have been a huge win for the GOP in terms of offering a real solution.  But the House rejected it.

That moronic insult is so incredibly tired.

Again -- it is the maga cult fans who are deranged.

Deranged to the point of seeking a dictatorship over democracy.

Yes they took orders from their fascist dear leader who it turns out does NOT want to fix it. Rather he wants to preserve the problem to be his top campaign issues. What an anti-American sleazeball! The people elect representatives to fix problems, not worship a thuggish mafia style dictator.

It's different when you have no high crimes and misdemeanors to charge which they did have to impeach Trump two times.
