Prime Minister Srettha asked the public to help combat the country's air pollution, by taking public transport, as air pollution worsened during the last few days. The PM said “We have to deal with the problem rather than wait for the pollution to subside on its own”


44 provinces reported unhealthy levels of ultrafine air pollution yesterday.

The government will consider what questions, and the methods required to hold one or more referendums in order to amend the constitution. This follows a court ruling that  a referendum would be required  before amendments could be made to the charter.. The cabinet is due to present its findings to the election commission. 


Police are coordinating with Interpol to find and arrest two men from the Cameroon allegedly involved in the murder of a Myanmar businessman at an apartment in bangkok on Tuesday night, The two apparently took a flight to Singapore on Wednesday morning. The victim from Myanmar was found with facial and head wounds, a witness who claimed to be the foster mother of the victim told police the suspects also strangled her until she lost consciousness. 

 

The Anti-Money Laundering Office has seized over 2.5 billion baht worth of assets from individuals who were allegedly colluding in fraud. The assets include land and deposits in several bank accounts.  The seizure follows previous investigations and assets seized last November.


Legal action is due against seven employees  from one company and five other companies for forgery, fraud, embezzlement and money laundering.

 

Bangkok will host and sponsor the 74th Fifa Congress in May this year,  this will be the first time the event is held in Southeast Asia.

Taiwan called on Beijing to restrain its citizens from fishing in the waters around the self-ruled island, defending its coast guard over the pursuit of a boat that led to the deaths of two Chinese nationals.


The boat was carrying four people when it capsized near the Kinmen islands - a territory administered by Taiwan but located just 5km from Xiamen on china’s mainland.
