While the decision ultimately rests with the sitting president, denying Trump access to classified material would be a prudent measure to safeguard national security interests. President Biden can delay Trump's access for as long as possible,

Only till November, :passifier::cheesy::violin:

The candidate briefings are pretty basic....just big picture stuff to give the candidate a chance to mull over major issues.

Former DCI John Brennan, who has given several of these briefings in the past, said that they are one step below a New York Times' investigative piece.

Nothing will be given trump that he can boast about or try to monetize. He already thinks he knows everything and claims he can solve any issue in an afternoon, such as he said about Ukraine. Of course he also said he would replace Obamacare with the best healthcare plan ever and that Mexico would pay for his wall and that Infrastructure Week is next week and that Alabama was "Sharpied" into the path of Hurricane Dorian and that he won the election in 2020.......

The decision to grant Donald Trump access to classified intelligence briefings, a customary practice extended to major-party candidates, should be reevaluated this year

It is a tradition and customary practice and not a legal requirement. His erractic behavior and his propensity to side the enemies are big national risks. Briefings traditional were given to former President to keep them informed and seek advise. Trump's has really nothing worthy nor intelligence to give advise. Biden had said before that there is no need for Trump to get briefing and he should not.

The more obvious they're treating him differently than any other candidate and former president in history, the more support and votes he picks up.

Remind me, did he read classified stuff to his ghostwriter?  Or was that someone else?

So which classified information has been published in the book "Promise Me, Dad,” ? 😀

Perhaps Tom Nichols should pop on down to the border and see what a real security risk is! He can write an opinion piece on it.

Doesn't matter.  I refer you to page 104 of the Hur Report:

But on February 16, 2017, after he was no longer vice president. Mr. Biden read portions of the same notebook entry aloud and nearly verbatim to Zwonitzer, including portions containing information that remains classified up to the Secret level. 43 -

Zwonitzer was smart enough to leave the classified stuff out of the book.  Biden was criminal enough to read the classified stuff to him.  In spite of the fact that Zwonitzer was not cleared to hear it, and former VP Joe wasn't even allowed to possess it.
