webfact Posted March 19 Share Posted March 19 Patong –An Indian, a British and a French driver were arrested in Patong for drunk driving on Tuesday (March 19th). The Patong Traffic Police told the Phuket Express that early in the morning, 1:30 A.M., they set up a checkpoint in Patong. The three foreign drivers arrested at the checkpoint were identified only as Mr. Manoj, an Indian national, 35, Mr. Myles, a British national, 26, and Mr. Alexandre, a French national, 33. They were taken to Patong Police Station to face charges of driving while drunk. SS1 Posted March 20 Share Posted March 20 Not really an excuse for drunk driving.. but how about fixing the taxi mafia problem? It's quite tempting to take your motorbike to the bars when the taxis are allowed to rip you off and it costs more to take a taxi to Patong and back than just booking a night at a hotel there.
