webfact Posted March 20 Share Posted March 20 Karon – An illegal Hong Kong tour guide was arrested on Tuesday (March 19th) at the Phuket Big Buddha in Karon. The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express that at 10:00 A.M. they arrested a suspect identified only as Mr. WONG, 31, a Hong Kong national. He was caught while he was informing Hong Kong tourists about the Big Buddha. Officers found that Mr. WONG was also allegedly selling tour packages to Chinese tourists via online platforms. He picked up his customers at appointment areas and took them to tourism destinations.
