Tourist Visa - Any Alternatives In My Situation?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm British, 41 years old with a Thai g/f of 5 years and a young baby (I'm the father/Thai g/f is the mother, my name on Thai Birth Cert. etc.) I have stayed in Th for the last 14 months on triple entry tourist visas obtained in the UK. I am currently in the UK on a visit and I am about to apply for another triple entry tourist visa (living in Thailand on passive income - not working as such) before returning to Th in 2 weeks. Would there be any other visas that anyone could recommend as an alternative to the triple entry tourist visas (I don't enjoy the visa run every three months) or is the triple entry tourist visa still my best option? Many thanks for any good advice.

The multi entry non immigrant O visa is the best you could hope for - but you will still have to make border runs every 90 days. This would probably be issued by Hull and a few other Consulates but most prefer to issue single entry and have you extend your stay (which you do not qualify for).

As Lopburi says you should be able to get a multi entry Non Imm O visa based on having a Thai child. show the childs Thai birth certificate naming you as the father. It will allow you to come and go freely for 12 months but staying no more than 90days each time.
