Moving from BKK to Pattaya: seek advice re 90 reporting.

Recommended Posts

In a week or more I will move to Pattaya from BKK. The owner's agent (of the Pattaya property which I will rent) promises he will do the TM 30 for me on the App and give me a copy of the TM 30 confirmation.

My current 90 report I have been doing for a few years online CW.

I next report my 90 day in early July so can I still do it online even though I will then be living in Pattaya?

Or do I need to go in person to Pattaya Immigration and do my 90 day report there?

If so apart from the TM 30 confirmation, any other documents I need at Pattaya immigration?

Any clarification and explanation would be helpful.

Thank you.

You can do it in person at Jomtien immigration office.

You need to provide TM30 (change of address).

If you have rental agreement that would be useful.

Just to be clear. Is this a permanent address change.

Where will you apply for you next annual extension?

Ah so just to be clear. The agent will do the TM 30 for me and give paper confirming it.

As my 90 days from BKK is not due until July I do not need to do my 90 day report until it is due in July and I do that in Pattaya?

Is that right or am I confusing myself?

Technically you should do the TM30 as soon as you move to Pattaya.

It's a change of address and unrelated to 90 day report.

Immigration may allow you to make TM47 at same time.

The immigration office will advise.

I don't think you have to do the 90 day now as it is independent where you are stay. And in July I would try Online first. if rejected you still have time to do it in person.

He does not need to do it just because of change of address.

However if immigration allow him to make a TM47  that would be useful for next extension.

Some offices (eg CW) now requure TM47 for extension application

Why would it be useful for his next Extension February 2025? If the Landlord is doing the TM30 he just don't has to go to Immigration at all.

He will need to attend immigration for his next extension.

Given that previous extensions were done at CW , I simply suggested he ask if he can do a TM47 at same visit.

Some offices now require a TM47 for application for annual extension.  OK?

Better to read what the OP has written, his next Extension is due February next Year. Till this date he has to file three times a TM47.

And I suggested for his next tm47 probably best to do it in person.

That's nonsense to sent him to this always overcrowded Immigration Office. Better to do online first.

And reporting online to a new office for the first time will be rejected.

He can do it via mail or in person.

Most likely online will be rejected.

Many thx your very helpful posting,

So just to be clear.

After i move to Pattaya  within 24 hours I will get copy of TM 30 confirmation online from the Agent.

( no need visit immigration)

When my 90 day report is due in June or july I will attempt to do it on line and if unsuccessful (likely) I will go to Jomtien immigration with 1-5 in the photo.

Correct?

Ps if the agent can do TM30 on line and gives me  written confirmation then in my mind that satisfies the requirement of TM 30 without me needing to go to immigration unless and until I need to do my 90 day report and its not accepted on line.
