Nikorn Janruang, 31, was promptly detained by police and rescue workers. He had wandered into the hospital under alcohol's influence, reaching the seventh floor, prompting staff to secure themselves. Discovered by a vigilant security officer, Nikorn was found asleep next to a one-foot-long knife. Police arrested him without incident. Nikorn claimed to visit the hospital for headache relief but couldn't recall the location. Deputy Inspector Kraisak Chueachu clarified Nikorn's confusion, stating no intent to harm.
