webfact
The rising summer heat in Thailand has resulted in fewer visitors to Jomtien Beach in Pattaya. The number of visitors enjoying the beach has indeed dipped, as observed on April 28th. Several factors could be causing the decline, including the post-Songkran holiday season and notably, the escalating temperatures. The thermometer in Pattaya and the Banglamung district has been nearing the 40-degree Celsius mark, and this could be discouraging many from visiting the beach. When beach business owners were asked about the situation, they expressed hope of an upcoming increase in visitors during the National Labor Day holiday on May 1st and subsequent weekends. However, they voiced concerns about their income status, describing it as only enough to get by. They also revealed the current clientele as predominantly locals, with a minimal number of foreign and local tourists. File photo for reference only. They still want to get out of Bangkok, which is even hotter.

Henryford
I bet there is no one at the southern end of Jomtien beach, where they extended the beach. Not a single tree for shade and a roasting hot 60 yard walk to the sea. Edited April 30 by Henryford

Probably all would be tourists to the southern part would either change their minds or "hang out" at the Bpoo Ben and Loong Sawai restaurants till dusk. I'm pretty sure the non planting of any sort of shade trees on the expanded beach is a deliberate "cunning plan" Baldrick would be proud of. newbee2022
Even as a "non-visitor" but a resident at a beach I don't like the heat, though here (near Chumphon) it's not more than 35 centigrade. But humidity more than 73%. Meteorologists promised rain soon (or later)

Popular Post Etaoin Shrdlu
Mrs. Shrdlu and I decided to get out of the house and drive down to Jomtien on Sunday, arriving at about 1 pm. Not many people were braving the heat and sunshine to splash in the water or ride the banana boats. Everyone was sitting under the umbrellas eating and chatting. There were very few foreigners about. As the sun dipped lower in the late afternoon, people came out from under the umbrellas and went down to the water. It was a pleasant afternoon followed by a great seafood dinner in Bang Saray. A good day out.
Emdog
A major factor would be they are tearing up the sidewalk and street again... for no good purpose.... road narrowed to 1 land near Jomtien Beach Condo, beyond that the amazingly noisy concrete buster is hammering away. Barriers to keep people off of what sidewalk there is and limits ability to get to the beach. It's not the post Songkran and it's not the heat. I've lived here about 20 years It's the noise and tearing up the streets for no good reason other than brown envelopes
mommysboy
The weather maps show around mid 30's for Pattaya by day. It doesn't seem to be that hot. Maybe this time of the year the sun is blisteringly hot. Plus, the evening heat appears to be very challenging. Surat City hit 40 yesterday- that's hot! Even hotter in many other places.
