Both I and my wife already have our seperate accounts at the Kasikorn Bank.

I want to open a joint account for us, to make life a bit easier for the survivor, accessing funds when one of us passes, and waiting for the wills to be actioned.

Does anyone have any experience?

Yes I do. It is very easy to open a joint account if you both have single accounts. Just ask at the bank. Kari is very accommodating. Note you can only use 50% of the funds in a joint account for your annual retirement extension.

Should be no problem at all. I opened a joint account at Bangkok Bank ( already had an account there ) for exactly the same reasons as the OP.

Open an either or account with survivor rights, not a plain joint account

I don't think this would work for some members who have a Thai GF and are separated from their Thai wife living here in Thailand, otherwise as ML stated that the most sensible way to go.
