croftrobin Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Both I and my wife already have our seperate accounts at the Kasikorn Bank. I want to open a joint account for us, to make life a bit easier for the survivor, accessing funds when one of us passes, and waiting for the wills to be actioned. Does anyone have any experience?
retarius Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Yes I do. It is very easy to open a joint account if you both have single accounts. Just ask at the bank. Kari is very accommodating. Note you can only use 50% of the funds in a joint account for your annual retirement extension.
Lacessit Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Should be no problem at all. I opened a joint account at Bangkok Bank ( already had an account there ) for exactly the same reasons as the OP.

Open an either or account with survivor rights, not a plain joint account
