A 42-year-old Thai man was seriously injured in an axe attack in Pattaya on Monday night, June 3rd.

The incident occurred near Wat Tung Kha School in the Huai Yai sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Huai Yai police and Sawang Boriboon rescue workers rushed to the scene at 11:46 PM after being alerted to the incident by concerned neighbours.

The incident had started after the victim had gone to the suspect’s home to check on the mother of the suspect, who was a friend of his.

Authorities arrived at the woods behind the school and spent around 15 minutes searching for the male victim, later identified as Mr. Sarawut Bandit, 42. The Thai man was found injured with a deep wound, believed to have been inflicted by an axe, to his chin. He was bleeding profusely.
