snoop1130 Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 Mercedes-Benz has entered into a decade-long contract with Thonburi Automotive Assembly Plant Co., Ltd. to manufacture electric vehicles (EVs) in Thailand. This partnership aligns with the country's goal to become a top player for mobility in the region, in accordance with their “Ignite Thailand” project, aimed at accelerating economic and technological growth. As part of this project, Mercedes-Benz is giving a large lithium-ion battery cell unit to Thailand's National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) for research. This high-voltage battery cell unit, which has been used in the company's previous experiments, is set to be delivered to the NSTDA by next month.
