They got a tip and followed up on it... How does this underscore anything about collaboration?  When will they stop adding this stuff to the reports? It gets boring after.

I find the "in related" unrelated and outdated "news" far more irritating.

This marks the second attempt by this group to smuggle drugs; their first endeavor was just last month.

Rumbled a second time. They need to do a little house cleaning.

Funny story. They let the known Chinese drugdealers go to Thailand. Why arent they in Chinese jail then?

Then they were busted in Thailand, due to tip of HK.

Promotion for Thai police? Chinese could also have been arrested in HK or other place in China?!

Now Thailand  have to make all costs to prosecute and kill(?) them.

I dont get this, guess article is just sensation story and there is more to it.

Acting on a tip-off from Hong Kong authorities,

Not such bright Chinese, I think all luggage that goes on a plane is screened, so it was simple, a phone call from Honk kong airport to the authorities in Thailand, and then these 4 policemen can gloat again how good they are.

Yeah while the main load gets through, 4 replaceable/no more use donkeys get sacrificed,  the new kid on the block gets the main load through.

Just a thought!

They didn't have the drugs until they arrived in Thailand and picked them up!

They then tried to take them back to Hong Kong.

That's when the Thai police arrested them.

Hong Kong will probably extradite them.

Everyone wins!

"Mr. Panthong Loikulnan of the Customs Department mentioned that standard airport X-ray inspections can miss narcotics concealed in luggage."

Ooops! What a giveaway!

However, to be fair, "In response, Thai officials are now implementing more stringent measures to prevent similar incidents." Would that be to check all luggage? 🤪

That is what is said every time but 14 kg of heroin is not a small amount

Sounds like someone wanted to get rid of the competition. I can't believe that there are/they still find people stupid enough to take drugs through an airport....
