Hunter Biden Sues Fox News alleging the network unlawfully published explicit images of him

Hunter Biden has initiated a lawsuit against Fox News, alleging that the network unlawfully published explicit images of him as part of their streaming series "The Trial of Hunter Biden." The series, which debuted on Fox Nation in 2022, featured a mock trial of Biden on charges he has not faced, and included images of him in compromising situations, such as nude and engaged in sexual acts.

The lawsuit, filed in state court in Manhattan, contends that the dissemination of these intimate images without Biden's consent violated New York's revenge porn law. It accuses Fox News of using these images to humiliate, harass, annoy, and alarm Biden, thereby tarnishing his reputation. According to the lawsuit, "Fox published and disseminated these Intimate Images to its vast audience of millions as part of an entertainment program in order to humiliate, harass, annoy and alarm Mr. Biden and to tarnish his reputation."

In response, a Fox News spokesperson described the lawsuit as "entirely politically motivated" and "devoid of merit." The statement acknowledged that Fox News received a letter from Biden's attorneys in April 2024 demanding the removal of the program from streaming platforms. The spokesperson noted that the program was removed within days of the letter "in an abundance of caution," but defended the network's coverage of Biden, emphasizing his status as a public figure who has been involved in multiple investigations and is now a convicted felon. The statement also highlighted the network's commitment to the First Amendment and expressed confidence in vindicating its rights in court.

Hunter Biden was convicted last month on three felony charges related to the purchase of a revolver in 2018. Prosecutors argued that Biden lied on a mandatory gun-purchase form by stating he was not illegally using or addicted to drugs. The mock trial in the Fox Nation series involved allegations of bribery and improper financial dealings with foreign governments, charges that have not been officially brought against him.

The lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages, as well as an order directing Fox to remove any copies of the explicit images. It also claims that promotional materials for the series have not been entirely removed by Fox and that the program remains available on some third-party streaming platforms.

This legal action underscores the ongoing controversy surrounding Hunter Biden, who has been a focal point in political and media narratives due to his personal and professional activities. The lawsuit raises significant questions about the boundaries of media coverage, the protection of personal privacy, and the implications of New York's revenge porn law in cases involving public figures.

I beleave there is a subcommittee looking into that. of the 51, some were not X members, but were still in the employ of said agencies which is against the law.

You know, like something brought up by Giuliani, known for his contacts with Russian operatives (ex. Derkach) and for diffusing Russian disinformation (ex. Crowdstrike is Ukrainian), given shortly before the election (he had it already for one year) to only the biased NYPost, so that no one was able to check it.

You can blame Giuliani for that. He could have diffused it publicly earlier so that everyone could check it. Maybe he was not sure himself that it was reliable.

Talking about sheeps, That's rich from you! 😃

If this comes to trial while his daddy is president he will win.

After the election he will lose.

No better than Thai rich kids acting entitled as they wreak havoc in their politician father's Ferrari.

The US has become a Banana Republic under Biden.

But Jill loves the big white house and Hunter fears jail for his debauchery so we will see the end game.

The downfall of the Biden crime family.

HUnters suit will go nowhere, even in a place like NY

Staying at a place that has Fox News in Jomtiem at the moment. It's not just that there biased as hell  it's the chidish and childlike way they present it as though there audience are children with headings like 'Biden's border crisis' and others that indicate they have to spell out to their audience what they should be thinking. Five minutes and your brain starts to turn to mush so best not to stick around.

Highest rated network.  Are you insulting their audience?

It's the melodramatic music and graphics too that go with it. I can only say how I perceive it. I mean Fox were looking to drop Trump like a hot spud after the last election but their ratings plummeted.

I don't say Fox watchers or Trump supporters are dumb. Most of 'em can probably do stuff I can't do in other areas.  I think a lot of them see the world differently to me and maybe are lacking in experience or maybe a certain aspect or type of intelligence that might make them realise Fox and Trump are a fraud and don't have their best interests at heart. But I get that Biden ain't seeming like a viable candidate too as we speak.

Or alternatively, it could be you who lack experience and a certain aspect or type of intelligence that might make you realize that Fox and Trump are setting forth policies that are in tune with the US electorate and that the attacks on Trump, and Fox, and their voters are based on lies and hoaxes and abuse of the system, and that further, that Biden and the Dems do not have the interests of the American people at heart.

The point I was making was not about being Republican or Democrat. I have no issue with low government low taxes and other traditional Republican policies. Or with noting failings of Democrats on issues like immigration and on some far left issues that normally don't represent mainstream democrat beliefs in any case.

The issue was that Fox News presented things  in such an embarrassingly spoon fed manipulative manner. I wonder why the audience is willing  to be communicated to in such a condescending and patronising and embarrassingly manipulative way. Same with Trump. I watch his speeches for 5 minutes and you ask yourself who can sit there and listen to this bull<deleted> - the tedious lies - the greatest hits of nonsense.

I am not saying there are any media or politicians who don't have a bias or aren't manipulative in some way  but it comes down to picking those that at least treat you as though you have some intelligence.

Well like I said, most Americans prefer Fox to the propaganda of the other networks. Guess you are better and smarter than all of them.
