71-Year-Old Woman Dies After Rescue Boat Capsizes in Chiang Saen Area
In a tragic incident, a 71-year-old woman has passed away after a rescue boat capsized in the Chiang Saen railway area. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, she was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to the hospital. The incident occurred on October 6, in Chiang Mai Province. The rescue boat, which was evacuating three patients, capsized near Ban Kanok Town 1, along the Chiang Saen railway in Nong Phueng Subdistrict, Saraphi District. Doctors from Theppanya Hospital issued a statement confirming that extensive CPR and first aid were administered at the scene and continued during the transfer to the hospital. However, the woman had fluid in her lungs and had stopped breathing for an extended period. Despite all efforts to save her, she passed away at 5:36 PM on the same day. Authorities in Chiang Mai have expressed their condolences for the loss of the victim, identified as Mrs. Nupin Thayos, aged 71, who tragically died during the evacuation in Nong Phueng, Saraphi District.
