Kennels

Featured Replies

We moved to Bangkok a week ago with 2 dogs and 3 cats. I had been trying to find somewhere to kennel my animals until the shipping arrived etc. Having read so many negative things about kennelling here, I was very nervous. One way and another I was put in touch with Dr Maytee from the Ari Pet Hospital on Plaholythin Road (halfway between Ari and Sanam Pao BTS). He was absolutely brilliant on the phone before I left my home country and his wife, Ann, emailed answers to all my MANY questions. They met us at the airport when we arrived and took the animals off to their pet hospital where they have now been for a week. As they are used to being together, all the dogs and cats are sharing one big airconditioned room. They are being very well looked after although not exercised much due to a lack of space but I take them out to play ball every day when I visit. I noticed that lots of western expats use this facility either for kenelling or when they are leaving Thailand also. Dr Maytee and Ann speak perfect English and Dr Maytee was very helpful in telling me what to look out for healthwise with the animals as there are lots of things here that I have never encountered before. I can definitely recommend them. No, it's not a 'Western' kennel as we know them but I don't have any fears having my animals there and the staff obviously really care about the animals.
