Thailand Eyes Credit Card Relief Amid Economic Woes, Plans Cut in Minimum Payment

Thailand Suspends 1M+ SIM Cards in Major Anti-Fraud Crackdown

In a joint operation by the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) and Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), they have launched a massive crackdown on mobile banking regulation and call center scams. This effort has already led to the suspension of over 1 million phone numbers tied to users with more than 101 SIM cards.

Education Minister: Senator Keskamol Can't Use the Title "Professor"

Senator Keskamol Pleansamai is not entitled to use the title "professor" according to Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovations in Thailand. This is because Pleansamai's qualifications, which she says were attained from a foreign university, have not been recognized by any university in Thailand.

Six Vietnamese nationals mysteriously died today at a luxury hotel in Bangkok after allegedly drinking tea and coffee mixed with poison. Police believe there may be a seventh Vietnamese but that individual has not been located.
