It reads more like a piss take. No high horse here just the way it reads.

Then I guess some of us are a bit more cynical than others, cause I cant see anywhere in my post where I was passing judgement on b-boys decision to reside in whatever city he chooses.

What is the public transportation like?

taxis are everywhere, cheaper and most importantly all of they use meters without being asked

Sadly Vietnam is the only country I've ever been in where I've experienced "rigged" meters (twice in one week no less). Although this may be a Hanoi phenom.

Are there grocery stores in Vietnam?

now this is silly lol but there's no 7-11 in hanoi though.

I can see someone making a killing in Hanoi with the first chain of decent convenience stores and I can see what the original poster is talking about. Seriously, where do you buy fresh milk in this city?
