Where can I find school holidays for academic year 2024/ 25 in the Isaan region?

The subject says it all. My SO sent me this link which, after Brave translated it to English, does not seem to reveal the long holidays. I understand there is a long holiday in October.

Mean time I have e-mailed the school (in english) after trying to find the holiday info on their web site. Just in case I don't get a timely reply, I thought I would post the same question here.

Good luck with that.  The schools like to keep everyone guessing on when the holidays will be.  I think the power goes to the directors heads in the schools in Thailand.

You can not rely on what anyone says. Every school stops and starts their long holidays when they want as long as it is within a certain time frame. The only way to be sure is to ask the school directly. My kids in Prachuap do not start theirs until November. In Bangkok some schools start October 1 while others start holiday in mid-October.

Having worked in them, When the holidays start at each school is entirely at the whim of the schools dictator, opps I mean director...

As zyphod said all schools set their own calendars.  However, the link you posted has the answers:

1 October  - End of Term 1

28 - 31 October - Teacher Planning Days

1 November - Beginning of Term 2

 

So most students should be off for all of October.  However, if you are a foreign teacher, you may have more time off, the same time off or less time off than the Thai teachers.

I managed to drag the same info out of my S.O. It was clear to her, but not abundantly clear to me after being put through a Thai-English translator.

 

I am used to the explicit use of the words "holiday" or "vacation". It will all sink in eventually I am sure.

After getting my grandchild through 10 years of schooling, I can categorically state that: you will learn when the holidays start about a week before. As for the end of the holidays, you may (as we experienced it) receive a message at 9pm on the Sunday, telling you that school starts the next day. It may turn out that what actually happens is a totally unimportant 'orientation day' to be followed by another week or two of, not holidays exactly, but being unable to plan any excursions with the kids. 

I have the feeling that not even the class teachers know any better, only the school head acts on a whim.

You get used to it.
