On 25th September 2024, Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Digital Economy and Society, Prasert Chanruangthong, proudly announced that Thailand has achieved the 7th spot in the 2024 Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI). Ascending from 44th place in 2020, this advancement underscores Thailand's significant strides in bolstering its cybersecurity framework.

The Global Cybersecurity Index, published by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), assesses countries on criteria such as legal measures, technical capabilities, organisational policies, capacity development, and international cooperation. Thailand's score of 99.22 out of 100 places it in the elite Tier 1 “Role Modelling” group for cybersecurity.

Prasert highlighted that this development is a testament to the Thai government's dedication under the “The Growth Engine of Thailand” policy, aiming to fortify digital security and, by extension, the nation's economic and social structures. Investments in human capital and digital enhancements are key to these efforts.

He also pointed out the establishment of the National Cybersecurity Excellence Center (NCSEC). The centre is tasked with spearheading research, fostering international partnerships, and sharing knowledge to tackle the escalating threats in cyberspace.

With this achievement, Thailand not only reinforces its digital defences but also positions itself as a leader in the global digital economy, paving the way for continued growth and innovation, reported The Pattaya News.

You must believe all distorted information you read, right? You have no built in defense mechanism that tells you something is wrong. Just blindly bow to the monk and put a small bill in the box.

Yes, my Aussie friends are astonished when I tell them what speed I get.

Need to check with friend who works in cybersecurity, suspect he might laugh.

Ok, you go ahead and prove that. Give me 5 examples, as it´s so consistent.

If you can´t, just shut the pie hole.

Good excuse. The reality is that you couldn´t.

As rehash nonsense is what you do on a daily basis, you are a professional and should be used to it.
