Surprised no comments on the Thai government proposed changes to to the 30 year law.

In a nutshell, land owner sells property to Government for a price. Government issues 99 year lease to buyer for a price. After 99 years property reverts back to Government. So property never leaves Thai ownership, which as we all know is the most important thing.

It would certainly make the leaseholder think carefully about their returns......which would benefit the government also re: tax take.
