Pakistani Man Arrested in Krabi for Overstaying Visa by 691 days

Krabi Immigration Police, led by Major General Songprod Sirisukha, Major General Kantawat Phongsathapadee, and Major General Sorat Eaml-ao, coordinated a raid across Krabi Province.

 

This operation, conducted alongside local police, tourist police, and highway police, aimed to check workplaces for undocumented foreign workers and to prevent activities that might disrupt local employment.

 

During the inspection of various premises, officers encountered a man suspected of being a foreign national in Moo 6, Sai Thai Subdistrict, Krabi. He was selling Arabic-script signs.

 

Upon requesting his documents, the man identified himself as Mr. Ahmad, a 48-year-old Pakistani national who had entered Thailand on September 16, 2022, with a 60-day tourist visa. Although his visa had expired on November 13, 2022, he continued to reside and work in Thailand without proper authorization, overstaying by 691 days.

 

Mr. Ahmad admitted to staying and working without a valid visa or work permit. He was charged with overstaying and working illegally and was handed over to the Krabi Provincial Police Station for further legal action.

 

From September 1 to October 8, 2024, Krabi Immigration Police reported 71 arrests, including 65 immigration violations, one unauthorized employment, and five other legal offenses. Major General Songprod noted that the operation aligns with national immigration policies, emphasizing the importance of upholding public safety and order for locals and tourists alike.

 

Krabi, being a popular tourist destination, has strengthened security measures to ensure the well-being of residents and visitors. Authorities urge the public to report any suspicious activities to Krabi Immigration Police at 075 611097.

A bad Pakistani, didn't the Immigration noticed that he didn't do his 90 days repports, you might as well scrap them as they are useless for criminals, only nuisance for law abiding people.
