Questions about pink card

Recommended Posts

Never bothered to get one here, but I do have some questions in case I change my mind.

Is there a tax number assigned to this card as with Thais?

Is there any English writing on the card (like clearly stating it's an id card)?

Can I use it at  places such as post office instead of my passport?

Can you use it to open a bank account? Specifically, if your passport expires can you use the pink card to replace a bank book or ATM card?

Did anyone use this pink card as a proof of non residency to open a bank account back in your country.....or any other country?

The number on the card is not automatically a TIN.

It can be used as such.

Many people have a pink card and no TIN. Many have a pink card and a different TIN.

Whoever gave you the laughing emoji - that's the correct answer.

The pink card itself is not worth much (people always quote national parks, I don't do national parks,  wherever in the world).

Together with the yellow book, it can be quite useful,  like getting resident prices at private hospitals, or no need for CoR for drivers license.   But you don't want to carry your yellow book to carry around with you,  it was too difficult to obtain.

It always depends on the person you are dealing with.
