Drones will be in the sky and snipers on the roof as votes are counted in Maricopa County. And it's completely understandable, given candidates who will say anything to sow doubt in elections.

    I don't deny the need to protect, and plan to protect, those working in ballot counting centres.

     

    But what does it say about the threat to democracy in the USA if snipers and drones are needed?

     

    A threat to democracy and the democratic process created by the more unhinged elements within MAGA ( Keri Lake?).

     

    Wasn't it Arizona where various armed vigilantes took it upon themselves to provide "a presence" at ballot drops in the last mid term elections?
