Any hospital recommendations for breast cancer treatment and doctors to look into?

Recommended Posts

Has cancer already been confirmed by biopsy? If do, has it been dtaged? More infotmstion needed as this very much affects choice of  doctot.

Is the patient Thai? If do, which hospital are they registeted at under the universal health scheme or SS?

Hi Sheryl, thanks for asking. Yes, biopsy has been confirmed in Myanmar and we're looking to do the surgery in Thailand. The patient is not Thai and I'm her son, currently looking for more information with health schemes and everything that'd be required for a smooth operations. There are a few hospitals that have branches in Myanmar like Bangkok Hospital, Vejthani, Samitivej and Bumrumgrad I'm looking into and any advices or experiences with those (or others) would be a great help.

Thanks a lot for the info! I'll be looking into about it all.

Be sure to bring copies of sll records from Myanmar with you. Especially biopsy report,  operative note from the biopsy procedure, mammogram, lab tests and any scans. Try to bring scans/filns on DVD not just the report.

In Bangkok, I'd recommend checking out Bumrungrad for private care; it’s a bit pricier, but they’re well-known internationally for cancer treatment and have a really solid oncology department. If you’re looking for public options, Siriraj Hospital is one of the best—it’s affordable and known for quality treatment. For Chiang Mai, Maharaj Nakorn (or Suandok) Hospital is a good choice on the public side. I've heard good things about the oncology department there, so it’s worth considering if you’re nearby.
