Local police in Samrong Nuea, Samut Prakan arrested a municipal rescue officer found in possession of a firearm and illegal drugs after he exhibited unusual behaviour at his workplace. The officer, identified as Mr. Piyaphan, reportedly sought out a female director, stating that he was feeling stressed due to colleagues ignoring him. During the encounter, he displayed and aimed a firearm at her, before leaving to return home.

The director promptly notified authorities, who conducted a search at Mr. Piyaphan’s residence. There, they discovered the firearm and methamphetamine in his possession.

Preliminary questioning revealed that Mr. Piyaphan admitted to the allegations, claiming the gun was legally acquired two years ago and that he regularly carried it to work for personal safety, denying any intention to intimidate. He also admitted to purchasing the methamphetamine solely for personal use, stating he used the drug once that day.

Authorities have verified Mr. Piyaphan’s employment as a municipal rescue officer and are now investigating the drug source he relied on.

Mr. Piyaphan has been formally charged with violations related to firearm possession and drug possession. He remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

No way that I condone the taking of illegal drugs, but I do understand that rescue workers might need some form of distraction after having to resolve some of the things that they see every day.

Good luck fella - hope that you recover from this.
