If I have to install the banking app on a new device when abroad, the Thai SIM card registered with the app has to be in the new device. 

 

Kbank and AIS both say, it would work if I use international data roaming with the Thai  SIM card (cheapest package from AIS for data roaming is 600B).

 

Has anybody actually done this? Does it really work?

I read a while ago that it did work, isn't there a one day or set limit package that is cheaper?

AIS told me that would be the cheapest package.  I am not planning to do this,  but I want to have a plan B if the banking app or my phone stop working.

the other alternative is make sure you can login via banks website
