Acne treatment- Isotretinoin and Azithromycin

Featured Replies

My 18 year old daughter has been suffering from acne for a few years, so i sent her to a dermatologist. At the first visit, she was given some antibiotics, face wash, topical cream, and some injections directly into the acne. After 10 days her face improved and she returned to the clinic.

This time she was given isotretinoin 10 mg to be taken every day. After 5 days her face broke out (as the literature says it will) so she went back to the clinic to get the the spots injected wih an anti inflammatory. Anyway, the doctor told her to stop the isotretinoin and gave her azithromycin 250mg to be taken 500mg for 3 days.
