Testosterone Replacement Therapy: Where in Bangkok?

Recommended Posts

I am curious to hear any experiences with being tested/treated for low testosterone in Bangkok.  At 65, I am wondering if it might be useful.  Any recommended clinics/hospitals?  I would like to find a legitimate place and am interested in quality care at a reasonable price.

I am nearly your age and just started TRT in Bangkok. There is an abundance of clinics to help you and get you started. Just Google it. Pulse Clinic is a popular chain brand, also Medconsult offers treatment, and Transcend Clinic is focused on it. But prices vary largely depening on the initial screening package they offer.

As it was told to me, the reason some initial screening packages can be costly is because the doctor needs to understand your overall bloodwork to see what are the causes of your low TRT. In my case, I get regular health checkups already, so I already know I am healthy. Therefore, I chose the screening package at Transcend Clinic, which was great value and cheaper than the other brands.  My T levels were so low, there was no downside to trying it. I have no regrets. The results are amazing.

I recommend you follow a regular monthly testing program offered by the clinics until you know what your dosage and frequency needs to  be. Then, you can decrease the blood testing and find a clinic that will help you do your own injections at home, with occasional blood tests.  There are also, pills, creams, etc. available if that is what you want. I was happy with Transcend Clinic because the doctor provided all options to me, we review the lab report together, and let me decide what to do without pushing me in any direction.

The most important test is for your prostate because if you have undiagnosed prostate cancer then increasing testosterone can make it worse. They used to think high testosterone levels caused prostate cancer but more recent studies have proven that to be wrong. A total testosterone test is useless so you must go for a free testosterone test instead. In Europe, they do a bio-available test which is also useful. The majority of testosterone in your blood is attached to proteins so the body cannot use it, which is why the total testosterone levels are not a good guide. I hope you report back on your experience as this is an area of men's health that has been neglected due to the false fear of prostate cancer. Good luck.
