An incident occurred on the evening of November 18, when a foreign male tourist, believed to be aged between 50 and 60, fell from the fourth floor of a popular shopping mall in the heart of Nakhon Ratchasima.

Local police from the Muang Nakhon Ratchasima station and rescue teams from the Sawang Metta Nakhon Ratchasima Foundation were alerted to the scene at approximately 17:25. Upon arrival, mall security and emergency personnel had already cordoned off the area near the escalators on the ground floor, where the victim had fallen. Despite initial attempts to provide aid, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Eyewitnesses captured the aftermath of the incident on video, which was later shared widely on social media by local news outlets. The footage showed officials clearing bystanders from the site, and images of the victim’s body being covered quickly spread, sparking public discussions and condolences.

Medical examiners from Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital, along with police investigators, arrived shortly after to examine the body. Initial findings revealed multiple fractures in the arms and legs, severe head trauma, and significant blood loss. The body has been sent to the hospital for a detailed autopsy.

Police found a hotel keycard among the victim’s belongings, indicating he had been staying at a nearby hotel. It is believed that the man was shopping at the mall prior to the fall. Authorities are still investigating whether the incident was an accident or a deliberate act.

The investigation remains ongoing, as officials work to determine the victim’s identity and contact his family or embassy.
