Trump picks former Soros money manager for Treasury Secretary

Treasury Secretary candidate Scott Bessant is the founder of the macro hedge fund Key Square Capital Management. Bessent was once the top money manager for George Soros. Another top pick from the world financial elite. He's actually a gay gobalist (he'll be the first overtly gay Cabinet member if approved) and was a big donor to the Al Gore campaign.Look for him to try to mitigate Trump's pledge on tariffs.

Commerce Secretary? Billionaire Howard Lutnik, the chief executive officer of Cantor Fitzgerald, another big global financial firm.

Drain that swamp, baby. These guys will working their butts off for the working people, I'm sure.

Surgeon General? Janette Nesheiwat, whose main claim to fame seems to be that she's a frequent contributor to Fox News, which is where Trump seems to be getting his a lot of his Cabinet ideas. She was also a big advocate for the vaccines, anti-vax lovers.

When it comes to hawking supplements, of course, no one beats Dr. Oz, who's created a $100 million empire promoting dubious supplements and fake cures like homeopathy, psychic medicine, conversion therapy, green coffee extract for weight loss. He will now be in charge of the Medicare and Medicaide programs. He'll probably cut funding and tell the elderly to buy his supplements.

Surprise pick? Lori Chavez-DeRemer, a former Republican house member from Oregan and big union supporter. The Teamsters have even approved of her.

Mr. Bessant will be the first overtly gay Republican Cabinet member if approved.

Current Transportation Sec. Pete Buttigieg, the first as above.

Sounds a bit homofobik, masogyniacal, rasist.

What's interesting to me about Trump's Cabinet choices is the lack of any sort of ideological consistency. Trump is well known for his support of traditional Christian values (appointing some of the most conservative Supreme Court justices in years) and his attacks on "woke" ideologies. His attacks on transgenders have been particularly notable.

His selections for Cabinet posts haven't necessarily reflected this conservative ideology. Scott Bessent is an example of this. To the Maga community, Soros is the devil incarnate so to have one of his acolytes as Treasury Secretary is intolerable. Bessent also was a big donor to the Democrats before he swtiched his loyalty to Trump. Plus, he has been an open advocate for gay rights, which is likely to inflame the Christian right supporters.

RFK Jr himself ran on a platform of traditional Democratic principles, which he felt the party had deviated from in recent years. His surgeon general choice was a strong supporter of the Covid 19 vaccine, which has the anti-vax crowd on Twitter up in arms. His Transportation Secretary is a union supporter.

Trump cares less about ideology than he does about personal loyalty. His first cabinet was stacked with billionaires and that appears to be the case with his second Cabinet as well. Despite his campaign rhetoric, he is completely comfortable with the current social regime dominated by financial elites. Loyalists, elites, and Fox news celebrities. That's the Trump Cabinet.

The actual difference is that Petey B got his job because he was a Homosexual, not because he was competent, or a leader

You could have stopped with the first sentence- he is a full blown narcissist void of ideology. Trump's religion is Trump- he cares about no one but himself. He is not a supporter of traditional Christian values, it's just he understands a group dumb enough to believe in a master puppeteer in the sky is easily conned.

Trumps religion is America and you cannot point to one fact that shows different.

Everything about Trump suggests he cares only about himself. I can't point to one fact that shows he actually cares about the USA or any of the people in it. If you can't see this, you've been conned.

The shift in wealth in this modern tech and asset shuffling economy (confession....I was the proverbial asset shuffler as a hedge fund manager) has been even more staggering than the days of the Robber Barons. No way is it going to stop under 47, as he will bend over backwards to curry the praise of the Musks and Griffins and Thiels of the world.

His entire life has been about trying to gain the acceptance of his 'betters'. He was always a joke in NYC. He tried to manufacture status with his golf resort and wedding planner facility and its $200,000 membership fee, but he only drew in gauche nouveau riche types or perverts like Jeffrey Epstein. He saw he could appeal to the great unwashed when he finally had financial success with his Game Show, and he used that to catapult himself into the White House. Even his followers on this site think he's a 'successful businessman', when he always bled his father's money (evidenced by his leaked tax returns) until Mark Burnett saved him with the game show.

His various nominees either come from entertainment or big wealth. His choice of Bessent, who followed Rogers and Drunkenmiller in the Soros Organization, was quite a surprise given Soros' 'devil incarnate' status among magas that you noted. Let the Trojan Horse meme begin!

47 is a 'man of the people' who hates the people he is the 'man' of....and I use the term 'man' loosely, as the whining crybaby butterball is only a weakling's epitome of a man, just as he's a poor person's idea of a rich man and a dumb person's idea of a smart man. What he has most in common with his cult---and why they think he is one of them---is because he's fat and out of shape, a whiner and crybaby, and always thinks his own failures are others' faults.

And yet, no facts, just obsessive hate.
