This video is all about perception and prejudice….. What this video does NOT show – it doesn’t show that Westerners are better at driving than Thailand people – and certainly not in Thailand. It does NOT relate to road deaths in Thailand. It’s worth bearing in mind that 80% of road deaths are motorcycle users. If you look at deaths on 4-wheeled vehicles in Thailand they actually are slightly LOWER than in the USA. The video does show how prejudiced Westerners are about Thai drivers and how little they understand about road safety and driving in the kingdom. They have no idea how cosseted they are at home and mistake that for being “good drivers”. When you look at other yardsticks you find that Thailand is nowhere near as bad as foreigner drivers like to believe,– e.g. Deaths per 10 billion vehicle-KM Deaths per 100,000 registered vehicles Registered vehicles per 1000 inhabitants Thailand is nowhere near the top in these figures. But the EL media and westerners are obsessed only with the one stat - DP 100k pop.– and that is not even the one normally use in road safety science. Which is fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles travelled (VMT). BTW – the US has a very poor road safety record compared to Europe, (about 4 times that of the UK per 100k pop, Thailand is 10 to 12 y=times that of the UK but oddly enough from a collision rate that is nowhere near proportionally greater.) -

However, we cannot confirm if the victims were men or women, soldiers or civilians, adults or children,” the official said. Fronting Hate: Tennessee's Troubling White-Supremacist Gathering
As the autumn sun filtered through the colorful canopy of Montgomery Bell State Park, located 40 miles west of Nashville, the peace was broken by a chant echoing through the trees: "Whose park? Our park! Whose park? Our park!" A small group of anti-fascist protesters gathered in opposition to the American Renaissance Conference, an annual event linked to white supremacist ideology that has called the park home since 2012. “No Nazis. Directed to a designated protest area behind the lodge, they peered through a locked gate at attendees of the controversial event, who mingled on a nearby balcony. “Follow your leader,” one protest organizer taunted with a bullhorn, prompting the group to repeat the chant. “Shoot yourself like Adolf Hitler,” came the biting refrain. Many of the protesters, clad in black and wearing masks to obscure their identities, carried symbols like the Antifa flag as they voiced their outrage. One protester, who identified himself as “X” from Columbia, Tennessee, summarized their perspective: “Basically, they invite some of the worst neo-Nazi hate groups into this park every single year to rally. There is no difference between this and a KKK rally—they’re the same people.” Inside the lodge, the conference was already underway. Jared Taylor, the 73-year-old Yale-educated founder of the event and the New Century Foundation, greeted reporters with a request: no video of attendees’ faces. “These people can lose their jobs. Their girlfriends could jilt them. That’s the kind of society we live in,” he explained in his refined, almost aristocratic tone. Taylor dismissed concerns about his connections to extremist groups like the Patriot Front, whose leader, Thomas Rousseau, was captured on video attending the event. Protesters like “Big Z” were determined to counter these ideologies. “We are here to let the public know that this will not stand in our state of Tennessee,” he declared, attempting to push closer to the lodge despite resistance from park rangers. As the protests raged, Taylor remained resolute. “We are going to be back here—whether they like it or not,” he said confidently. Yet, for opponents of American Renaissance, the battle wasn’t about changing Taylor’s mind.
