A 19-year-old vocational student was fatally stabbed early morning on December 8, in a confrontation near Soi Petchkasem 55/2 in Bangkok's Bang Khae district. The attackers, riding a motorcycle, approached the victim and demanded to see his belt before pulling out knifes and attacking him.

The incident occurred at around 02:45, prompting Pol. Lt. Yanapol Polyeam, an investigator at Petchkasem Police Station, to respond alongside Pol. Col. Pramote Chanboonkaew, forensic officers, a medical examiner from Siriraj Hospital, and rescue volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation.

Initial investigations revealed that the victim, accompanied by a friend, was targeted by the assailants, who rode alongside them and demanded to examine the victim's belt, a common trigger for disputes among rival student groups. The confrontation escalated, and the attackers stabbed the victim, leaving him fatally wounded. His friend managed to flee the scene to seek help.

Following the incident, authorities launched an investigation and began collecting CCTV footage and witness statements to track down the suspects. By noon of December 8, police had identified and arrested several individuals involved in the attack.

The arrested suspects, including 20-year-old Chaiwat "Mark" Nabaan, 21-year-old Surachai "Beam" Chuea-hong, and 19- year-old Punphat "Tae" Phothikit, admitted to the crime during questioning. They stated that the confrontation occurred after they sought revenge for an earlier attack on one of their younger peers. Upon encountering the victim and his friend, the suspects demanded to see the victim's belt. When the victim refused, the altercation escalated, resulting in the fatal stabbing.

Authorities have charged the suspects with premeditated murder, and the investigation is ongoing.

Confused by your comment.

No I'm saying get them off the streets where they cause trouble and teach them how to behave with some discipline.

Two years should straighten them out.

I got it and I agree,

They won't do it though, and these bastards deserve a lot more than two years as they've committed murder.

It's hard to believe these types do anything premeditated.  They appear to have very little going on in their brains.

Two years in a holiday camp for stabbing someone to death; you have all the prerequisite credentials to be a judge in the UK

And I will say it again.

This culture must do away with he fake polite expressions, and get the parents teach politeness, the way it is done in civilized countries.

Children here are taught to say polite words. But they are not taught how to be polite, what politeness really is.

That one's freedom ends where the freedom of another starts.

That politeness is expressed not with words, but with behavior.

A life for a life.

You kill somebody , young with a whole life in front of them , then you should expect to face the death penalty.

Extenuating circumstanses offer the only chance of a reprieve ,

(  eg , the victim raped and tortured your younger sister or something equally wicked )

A Swiss businessman summed them up many years ago to me.

He said:- ' They are Polite, but they have no manners! '

I would go with execution on live TV, but that's just me.

Add to that, "Respect is earned, not given". It's something I have been teaching my daughter as much as possible.
