Gordon Ramsay, TANACHIRA Group opens flagship Bread Street Kitchen & Bar
Globally celebrated multi-Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay, in partnership with Thailand’s leading lifestyle operator TANACHIRA Group, is set to unveil Thailand’s flagship of the chef’s internationally acclaimed Bread Street Kitchen & Bar concept in ICONSIAM, a global landmark along the Chao Phraya River. Opening late 2024, Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen & Bar at ICONSIAM will be located on Level 3, offering shoppers distinctively British classics and globally-inspired dishes complemented by an exceptional dining experience. This will be the second Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Thailand with its first located in Emsphere in the EM district. Designed by the award-winning team at Whitespace Bangkok, the 608-square-metre restaurant will encapsulate Bread Street Kitchen’s signature industrial warehouse-inspired aesthetic, reminiscent of its London flagship, St. Paul’s. The stunning space will blend vintage furniture with modern-urban accents, highlighted by the brand’s iconic checkerboard tile flooring. Guests will be drawn to the bar where its copper and steel elements create an industrial yet warm and inviting space, offering the perfect spot to unwind and sip on cocktails or a selection of fine wines. Signature drinks like Ramsay’s G&T and the exclusive Bangkok by the River cocktail, celebrate both the Bread Street Kitchen ethos and the city it now calls home. Warm copper tones and bright canary yellow hues of the main dining room enhance subtle industrial details, adding to the character of rivets and steel lines. Guests will dine in comfortable banquette seating and enjoy sweeping views of the city through sleek floor-to-ceiling glass windows, while the open kitchen will add a theatrical element allowing guests to witness Ramsay-trained chefs in action. Looking up, solid wooden beams cross the ceiling reminiscent of river piers, a thoughtful nod to the restaurant’s scenic riverside location. Walking out onto the terrace will give guests a captivating view of the breathtaking Chao Phraya River and a stunning sunset as the backdrop, setting the scene for guests dining outdoors. A private dining room that seats 12 will feature a standout design of an antique-style mirrored glass wall with an aged surface, creating depth and an illusion of spaciousness. A custom-designed centrepiece table completes this exquisite space perfect for intimate celebrations, private or corporate events. Culinary experience like no other The menu at Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen & Bar at ICONSIAM promises a mix of British classics and international flavours, showcasing Gordon Ramsay’s iconic dishes. Highlights include the world-renowned Beef Wellington, Fish & Chips and the unforgettable Sticky Toffee Pudding. Whether for a memorable meal or a stylish evening drink, Bread Street Kitchen & Bar at ICONSIAM promises an extraordinary dining and lifestyle experience. Tanapong Chirapanidchakul, CEO of TANACHIRA Group, expressed his excitement and spoke on the significance of the collaboration. “We are delighted to have partnered with chef Gordon Ramsay on this exciting project. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both of our brands. We believe that the opening of Bread Street Kitchen & Bar at ICONSIAM will offer an exceptional culinary experience for Thai guests and international travellers, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the finest British cuisine in an iconic setting. “At TANACHIRA, we are committed to bringing world-class lifestyle experiences to Thailand, and this partnership is perfect for that vision” For more information follow us for real-time updates on Facebook and Instagram. Judge Rejects Trump’s Immunity Claim in Hush Money Case, Conviction Stands
Typical - you only use info that fits your narrative. Just a damned shame how those pesky facts keep exposing you for the blinded sycophants you are. Here's the REST that you conveniently left out: -

I've had enough of the Tourist Ghettos in Thailand!
How long will it take before Thailand realizes that they will become the same as Europe and England and overrun with undersirable immigrants and will start to loose their identity and culture, look at London now, almost a Islamic state. Unfortumnately Thailand can only see $ now, later will regret it, when its too late. -

Judge Rejects Trump’s Immunity Claim in Hush Money Case, Conviction Stands
Ya'll know what is simply Epic! Kamala Harris as US Vice President has to be the one to certify the electoral college election results! Talk about a cosmic kick-in-the-butt as she heads out the door into political obscurity. Well, she can always become the Governor of California as Californians love vegan word-salad. Then she can endorse Gavin Newsom as the 2028 Democrat candidate for presidency as, unlike her, he may actually have a chance at winning. -

Is it possible to have a UK Bank account while being tax resident in Thailand?
A good friend of mine has an account with Barclays in the UK. Sorry, I do not know the location. He has been a non resident for about 30 years. He now lives permanently in Thailand and Barclays keep writing to him telling him that he now has to close his account with them as he lives overseas. He refuses, telling them that he does not want it closed. He tells them that if they want it closed, they must close it. This has been going on for a couple of years now. He still has an account with Barclays. Back to the OP's original question - I too have an account in the UK with NatWest. I have had it since they were called Westminster Bank, before they merged (1960's?). I became non resident the UK in 1993 and told the bank. No problem. I have my pension paid into it. (They too know that I live overseas.) For post - they have my M-I-L's address for silly, non important stuff and my Thai address for anything that I want quickly. As others have said, I suspect that if one lives overseas, opening an account in the UK now would be very, very tricky.
