December 16, 20241 yr Ian Hislop once described Musk as having a personality that was "Terrible, even by South African Standards". What's your opinion of him? He certainly gets high marks from me for investing in spaceflight, helping to bring EVs into the mainstream, and selling flamethrowers to any yank who asks for one, but I get the feeling he's always one nervous tick away from bringing disaster. I must admit it was bloody hilarious hearing Trump make "Elon won't go home!" comments about Musk apparently going full fanboy on him.

December 18, 20241 yr To anyone who is in their 20s Elon Musk will lead us to Mars within 40 years. G. Yagoda, Asean Now, Dec 18, 2024 Print that out, put in in your wallet and speak the words "you, as always, were right" when it happens
December 18, 20241 yr As a misunderstood genius with a good hearth and intentions to save the humans, se his good will being ridiculed, he turns in to the the evil genius ? I'm afraid he sees people as idiots, and just a.brief look at social media and other open channels, do not prove him wrong. Right now powerful people use him for what he is worth? Make your pic,
December 18, 20241 yr A ruthless if dishonest businessman, megalomaniac, narcissist, white supremacist, immoral, chronic liar, somewhere on the autistic spectrum, lacking in empathy, sympathy, poor understanding of social relations and politics. He's completely untrustworthy in my opinion, and I certainly don't want him running the country. Seth Abramson is writing a biography of him. He has loads of material about Elon on his substack (some of is free, enough to get the gist, the rest behind a paywall). Musk comes across as the kind of evil genius you see in James Bond movies but hope you'll never encounter in real life. https://sethabramson.substack.com/p/the-truth-about-musk-from-his-biographer

Not much point in going to Mars until you've worked out how to build a self-sustaining colony there. Even then, the rest of the planet will remain inhospitable. A colony on the moon first would seem like a better idea.
December 18, 20241 yr Author That was my point. He's great at announcing things. He said we were going to be on Mars several years ago and he's not even close.

December 19, 20241 yr As you can see, Musk is now dictating terms to the US Congress: No bills should be passed Congress until Jan. 20, when @realdonaldtrump takes office. None. Zero. https://x.c om/elonmusk/status/1869461048828522999

What Elon is doing is giving all of us a very public platform and neutering the deep state attempts to work smoky backroom deals behind our backs. We put Trump into power. Elon knows this. And unlike most of Congress who are controlled stooges, he actually has America's best interests at heart.

Twitter is a propaganda machine, which cost him $40 million but ended up proving invaluable during the election. Why is he accumulating all this power? What is his agenda exactly?

You honestly think Trump can be bought for a measly $277 million? He could have taken over a billion from banks like JP Morgan Chase et. al. and never did. So good luck getting anyone else to agree with you on that. Sounds like a coping mechanism more than an actual, well reasoned belief.
December 19, 20241 yr In other news, Rand Paul just suggested in a tweet on X that Congress nominate Elon Musk as Speaker of the House. It would be really enjoyable to watch the DC Swamp squirm if that actually happened. Yes, it's true. The House is free to choose anyone it wants as its Speaker. There's no rule requiring them to be a member.
December 19, 20241 yr Genius humanitarian. Just two words describe him best. Also, a humorist. Three words better.

A momma's boy with an inferiority complex that he tries to hide with a lot of bluster.
