  • he U.S. took over the project in 1904 under President Theodore Roosevelt, and completed construction in 1914. The U.S. paid around $375 million for the canal, which included $10 million paid to Panama

4D chess, man!

Once we own Greenland, as is our right, we can move the canal there once we repossess it!

The hole that's left after removal of the canal can be filled in with debris from the glacier dismantled to build Trump casinos!

Ha!  And you can thank Biden for providing the floating piers to move everything.

As one learns after going to the Thermae where the ladies say "no farang", everything can be bought. Its not whether, its how much.

Maybe we should just take it. Russia and China get to do it, how about us. Who is going to stop us?

I've been doing some .308 target practicing in case you Yanks want to give it a try. Last time you invaded us your White House got burned down real good. One thing I learned while living in Pattaya was at the start of any trouble in a bar the Yanks were under the table or out the door. Recently a gang of gypsies were pushing around the managers of a crowded bar\restaurant in Arizona. One guy in the whole place stood up to them. A Canadian who took on all 9  while the couple hundred Yanks hide behind their women folk and kids. Bunch of pussies. We are having a good laugh up here in the Great White North at the nonsense coming from Private Bone Spurs.

Comparing the cost of something over 100 years ago to the cost now is nonsensical.

Here's what Google AI's "drivel" says about the cost of transiting the Panama Canal in the last 10 years.

Why?

A car at the time cost the equivalent of $4,500

An average house cost $100,000 in today's money

Both have gone up significantly.

Why should the cost of shipping go down over the same period?

Oh yeah, policies to help the ultra rich 😂 how could I forget 🤣

Hmmm, sounds like this post came from 1939... Did some leave the wayback machine on again? 🤣

Im sure he would, he is a sucessful and wealthy businessman, unlike the Socialists ranting on a message board

So successful that a 10 minute legover with a porn star ended up  costing him $130,000, 30 odd convictions for various frauds and endless derision, and the resulting ramifications (to stay out of jail) left the USA with Elon Musk calling the shots!

Just when you think the whole business couldn't get any more bizarre your geriatric successful and wealthy businessman puts podgy finger to phone keyboard at 3 am and delights the rest of the world by releasing another brainfart blast of nonsense!

I don't know about making America great again, it seems to have turned itself into a laughing stock!

Come on they did show Grenada who was boss during Rotten R.R. time. Not sure who was calling the shots since it came out later he was senile at the time. Likely same reason Musk is now

Trump Organization Accused of Tax Evasion in Panama: What We Know

You're not alleging that Trump may be motivated by his own business interests, are you? 😆

Thanks 4 the great suggestion. It's been forwarded to Justin. Along with cutting off our exports of 4m barrels of crude a day and uranium shipments

Canada is a net exporter of oil. 52% of it goes to Merka.

Maybe Trudeau should cut that off, too.

Crappy because we were too nice. Although in a historical sense Vietnam was a victory. But you would have to have a secure foundation in History and Geopolitics to understand that.

Or a very warped understanding of real world history!

That along with power and sex are ALL that motivates him!

Which bit was the victory?

1. Huge military and strategic defeats

2. Severe political and diplomatic consequences

3. Massive social and economic costs

4. Embarrassing symbolism of being booted out of SE Asia

There is a documentary on Y.T showing the building of the canal...An incredible piece of construction...Every American should watch this and it should be shown on all schools in the U.S.....Trouble is...Anything the greatest race in history has done must now never be broadcast...

Maybe that is part of the problem. But remember, America voted for Obama.

I think it's too easy to just blame racism and misogyny.

Blaming it on misogyny in Obama's case would be a real stretch....555
