Prehistoric Skeletons Unearthed in Thai Village - Archaeologists Investigate
File photo for reference only Villagers in Khon Kaen, Thailand have stumbled upon a significant archaeological find: prehistoric human skeletons, raising the prospect of an ancient settlement. The Fine Arts Department is currently examining the remains discovered opposite the Phu Wiang Dinosaur Museum in Wiang Kao district. The skeletons, estimated to be 1,500 to 2,500 years old, were unearthed on January 4 as locals prepared land for cassava cultivation. Led by Thipawan Wong-assapai from the Fine Arts Office 8, archaeologists visited the site where the skeletons lay preserved. The 140-centimetre skeleton was found in a burial posture, with its head facing west, and mostly eroded except for the skull and teeth. Pottery shards were also present, suggesting a possible habitation site from the prehistoric era, similar to other known sites in the region like Non Nok Tha. The site’s location on a high mound near a water stream hints at a historic human settlement. Such discoveries continue to enrich Thailand's archaeological tapestry, akin to renowned sites including Ban Chiang and Spirit Cave. These sites highlight Thailand’s ancient past, illuminating early human activities such as metallurgy and agriculture. Arthit Kot-yoti, who first found the skeletons, was preparing his land when he discovered human teeth, compelling him to investigate further and eventually uncover a human skull. His find has sparked the attention of local authorities and archaeologists, who now aim to explore this newfound site. Future excavations might yield further insights into prehistoric life in Thailand, requiring careful planning and consultation with stakeholders. This accidental discovery offers a fascinating glimpse into the ancient world, reflecting the region's rich prehistoric heritage. -- 2025-01-08 -

Elections have Consequences
My point is that it's an attempt to substantiate the imaginary voter fraud argument. Having said that, I don't understand why there isn't a mandatory national ID card system in the U.S, as in most countries. That would make everything more simple. -

Is Sam Altman actually a woman?
Not my problem. Future generations can deal with it. I am not on Facebook or X. I have proved AI is wrong or inadequate multiple times. I have a very advanced bullsh!t detector, and I don't worry about things that can't affect me. -

Biden Implements Sweeping Offshore Drilling Ban Ahead of Trump Presidency
It's OK when Trump bans offshore drilling. Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha. Suckers. 😭 Former President Donald Trump implemented a ban on offshore drilling in certain areas in September 2020. This move came as a surprise, given his administration's general support for expanded fossil fuel production. Here are the details: Offshore Drilling Ban Timeline September 8, 2020: Trump signed an executive order extending and expanding a moratorium on offshore oil and gas drilling. Areas Covered: The ban applied to federal waters off the coasts of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Later, it was extended to include North Carolina. Duration: The moratorium was set to last for 10 years, until June 30, 2032. Reasons Behind the Ban 1. Political Considerations: The move was widely seen as an effort to bolster support in key swing states, particularly Florida, ahead of the 2020 presidential election. Offshore drilling was unpopular among voters in these coastal states due to concerns about tourism, environmental risks, and potential oil spills. 2. Environmental Concerns: While the Trump administration generally pursued policies to expand fossil fuel production, this ban addressed widespread public opposition to drilling in these areas. 😀😃😄😁😆😅😂🤣😭 -

Strange and annoying things here in land of smiles
When going for a haircut at a new place they always, well mostly, want to take a bunch of photos of of their "good" work. I don't mind and smile sweetly at the camera, but it's all a bit odd
