The abrupt welcome on my 3rd Visa Exempt
And I also do not understand your post. this is the information that the poster provides: "I am 81 years old and wheelchair assisted, so when I was wheeled into immigration for wheelchair assisted people, I could see that what was Coming and to my horror a young female immigration officer and straight away new that things would not be easy . " Nothing in there about a special treatment, nothing about a priority lane. The poster describes the situation as a source of anguish. Which is my point. At his age, people should be aware of how simple matters might be perceived. and act accordingly, with added courtesy. I thought that just about everybody would understand that. Not you, so it would appear... -

world wide income taxation update
When I bought my condo, banks paid only 1-2% on long term CDs. I guess we will see how long that 5% CD rate stays around. The developer where I bought rents the same units (lower floors) for ฿49,000. I bought at a steep discount (bought a contract from someone who couldn’t close during covid) 5% on 8,000,000 wouldn’t cover my rent. -

Anyone bought SubZero Fridge in last 5 years?
Maybe better to buy Samsung large refrig, as did I. Samsung has a decent warranty, I think... Then, if it cannot be fixed... Chuck it out. Buy new Samsung This is what I have decided to do for all kitchen appliances and ACs, etc. It's ALL garbage quality they sell here, compared to what it once was in the US... So, the only thing to do is treat this garbage like the disposable goods they are. Buy it, and then prepare to be forced to chuck it....soon after warranty expires, or even before. This garbage is usually NEVER work fixing. I would buy the Samsung fridge again. Because....it is significantly cheaper than the Hitachi I have. Both machines, however, seem to be about the same quality. The Samsung has a 23-year warranty on compressor, if I recall. I just worry about the thermostat or something going kaflooey.... -

The abrupt welcome on my 3rd Visa Exempt
Thais are fickle and can be pretty rude when they want to be. As foreigners, we're not really entitled to the normal levels of respect anyway. Post-covid Thailand is also very different to pre-covid Thailand. The best thing to do is expect to be treated pretty much indifferently, then when you do get some of that old-school Thai friendliness, enjoy it for the fleeting experience that it is. -

The abrupt welcome on my 3rd Visa Exempt
You have not outlined how you entered Thailand. Assume if relevant to this thread it is visa exempt. Also you have not outlined history in Thailand visa exempt entries. The clobber you wear is irrelevant. Another myth. If anything would perhaps suggest you are working in Thailand.
