A strange rescue occurred after a middle-aged man from Nakhon Ratchasima found himself in an unexpected predicament when he became trapped inside a water tank while attempting to repair it. The man had entered the tank to fix a malfunctioning float switch, but once inside, he was unable to climb back out.

Emergency responders from the Phoklang Subdistrict Municipality’s Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Division received a distress call and quickly arrived at the scene. Upon inspection, they discovered the man, who was partially submerged, with only his head and chest visible above the water tank opening.

The rescue team had to use a ladder to scale the wall of the house before pulling the man out to safety.

The man explained that he had attempted to repair the faulty float switch inside the tank. However, after completing the repair, he found himself unable to climb out due to the tank’s height and its slippery interior.

Despite his efforts to push himself upwards, he couldn’t escape. With only elderly family members and children in the house, he was unable to get assistance and eventually called for help.

The man was unharmed, though shaken, after the rescue.
