A sense of panic spread through a neighbourhood in Chonburi after a stray dog dropped what appeared to be the dried remains of a newborn baby in the middle of a road. Residents were left horrified as the discovery unfolded, prompting authorities to investigate whether the remains were human or animal.

The incident was reported to Lieutenant Supakit Konthee, a duty officer at Saen Suk Police Station. He and a team from the Tri Khunatham Rescue Foundation rushed to the scene at Moo 2, Samet Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chonburi.

At the scene, they found a dried, flattened body resembling that of a newborn baby. The remains had visible limbs, complete with five fingers and toes, and were unclothed. However, due to the condition of the remains, police could not immediately determine whether they were human or belonged to an animal.

Medical personnel from Chonburi Hospital were called to the scene to conduct an initial examination. However, the nature of the remains could not be confirmed. The body was subsequently sent to the hospital for a thorough autopsy to ascertain its origin.

Mr Somkiat Sihalad, 27, a witness who discovered the remains, said, "I was working when I saw two white dogs carrying the body and dropping it in the middle of the road. They were rolling around with it. At first, I wasn't sure what it was, so I went closer. From what I observed, I'm 90% certain it's a newborn baby because it has arms, legs, and fingers like a human."

Authorities are now waiting for the hospital's autopsy results to confirm whether the remains are human. Further evidence will be collected as part of the ongoing investigation.

Seems strange to me. If a regular person say he see that the body have arms, legs and fingers like a human. How hard can it be for professional people to see what it is.

I checked out something about the weight a dog can carry in its mouth.

Looks like some dogs can make quite a weight lift in the mouth...
