Swiss Dog Owner Defies Thai Beach Ban, Sparking Fear Among Locals and Tourists

I walk every morning before breakfast.

I encounter lots of Thai dogs.

None of them attack me.

There were a couple dogs in my neighborhood who used to bark and menace me.

I trained them not to do that by throwing a chunky rock in their faces when they tried to pull that <deleted> on me

I usually missed but they got the memo and ran away.

Now they don't even flinch when I walk by them.

If the Swiss Farang had Golden Retrievers, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Golden Retrievers don't menace and bite people.

At most, they want to jump up on you and lick your face.

Contrast that to other breeds raised for aggression like German Shepherds or Pit Bulls.

Google "pit bull mauls and kills owner"

PROTIP: If dogs menace you on a beach, squat down grab some sand fling it in their eyes

Then you can look for a rock or a stick to defend yourself.

Don't let "good doggies" go bad (pack instinct).

Train your pups, people.

One way or another. 😆

UPDATE: I guess #10 proved my stereotype of Goldens false. 😘

Here are 10 reported incidents where pit bulls have fatally attacked their owners:

3. Bronx, New York (April 2024): A 41-year-old man named Kaheem Robinson was fatally attacked by his pit bull inside his apartment.

4. Compton, California (March 2024): Dominic Cooper, a 35-year-old suspected pit bull breeder, was mauled to death by his own dogs.

5. Roxbury, Massachusetts (November 2024): Jeriline Brady-McGinnis, 73, was attacked and killed by her own pit bull in her home.

6. Lampang, Thailand (July 2023): A 78-year-old man was killed by his two pit bulls, named Big and Black, while he slept.

7. Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand (February 2023): A 47-year-old man named Thedpong was fatally attacked by his pit bull, Bobby, after intervening to save his mother from an attack.

10. Sattahip, Thailand (June 2011): A 51-year-old man named Mana Tesrit was attacked and killed by his Golden Retriever after allegedly abusing the dog.

Generally the Swiss are ok & easy going. But you get the odd one (like in this case) that's real stubborn. Theirs plenty ways to sort him out, but what will happen to the dogs if he has to go.

If he really cares for these dogs then he needs to stop pissing people off PROMPTO.

Deport him. Dog owners never change.
