Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has dismissed the notion of maintaining close ties with a high-ranking police officer amidst current political tensions.

 

In a recent interview, Thaksin clarified that his past relationship with the police official is now relegated to being mere acquaintances.

 

The comments arose following news that the police officer had provided opposition parties with sensitive information regarding the 14th floor of Bangkok police hospital.

 

Thaksin, himself a former police officer, remarked that he knew male top brass cops but maintained no connection with female ones, dismissing rumours linking him to women in high-ranking police positions.

When questioned about potential fallout from a forthcoming government censure debate, which might touch on issues like PM 2.5 dust pollution, casinos, and electricity cuts in Myanmar, Thaksin acknowledged that the government would face challenging questions.

 

He noted that while air pollution solutions are long-term, the government has been gradually introducing measures to address these concerns, reported Siam Rath.

 

Attempts to further link Thaksin to unspecified female police commissioners were downplayed, with Thaksin reiterating, “There are only male police generals in Thailand.”

Only in a country without any real press freedom, would such a story with all the key details omitted be published. And that regarding an interview with the PM's father who is clearly acting as the PM.

Only male police generals in Thailand. Maybe a few female generals would be needed help sort out the <deleted> show that the RTP has become with men at the top.

He,s the seriously ill ex prime minister who was let back in after numerous brown envelopes were passed about and told under no circumstances to get involved in politics again......

Thaksin will befriend any official if thinks

he or his family can benifit from it. 

His police connections helped him leave the country and escape jailtime when he returned with deals made in advance.

I know part of  his parole was not getting involved in politics or something well everybody knows he’s really running the country right now this country is corrupt top to bottom when he was in a position of being a high cop boy did he steal a lot of money I heard to do any big business he had to like pay him a cut I’m sorry about people coming from Miramar into Thailand with anything from drugs to human trafficking you got a piece of everything these high ranking cops they live in big houses they spend a lot of money have nice cars how do you say they got all this from being honest and whatever happened to that guy big joke where did he go or how about the red Bull kid they can’t find them give me a break TIT

The Thai Prime Minister position shows increasing distance from female police officers during his public statements about his relationships. He maintains connections exclusively with male police officers. He accepts that the government continues its work toward fixing air pollution problems despite the time needed to find effective solutions. The government appears to be getting ready to respond to anticipated challenging questions that might arise from the censure debate.

....and high ranking female politicians are just for show.
