Donald......and the rest of the world.

Featured Replies

Currently, Donalds approval rating is around 53 % in the US, while the rest of the "western world" wonders how something like this could have happened.

Wondering how a guy can put "the western alliance" in jeopardy that has benefitted all the members of this alliance since WW2.

In Europe, the Person that is named Donald J.Trump is being considered as a pompous, erratic, overbearing character. If not for his money and fame, he would be spending his time in a psychiatric institution for his own good. General consensus.

Europeans are still puzzeled: What is so terribly wrong with the political/economical system in the US, that has elevated Donald into the highest office that this nation has to offer?

Me, and the overwhelming majority of Europeans would just like to know why the American electorate came to the conclusion, that the time is ripe for a person like Donald. Or, in other words: What is so terribly wrong in the US that made them vote for Donald?

I look foreward to many contributions from US posters. The more, the better. It might help Europeans to better understand what is happening in the US. Europeans (and the rest of the "free world) hunger for an explanation, boiling down to 1 word = WHY?

On what authority do you have to speak on behalf of the rest of the World ?    Was you elected to speak on behalf of 7 Billion people ? It happened because Joe Biden was in charge for 4 year

  • Intelligent people predicted a Trump win after the 60 minutes interview. Only idiots were surprised. The average liberal in Europe is an idiot.

I will be forthright in answering your question - people in the USA don't care what people in Europe think.

Sucks but it's true.

It happened because Joe Biden was in charge for 4 years and he refused to step down in the last two years of his reign when he clearly wasn't fit for purpose .

The Kamalal stood against Trump and her only accolade were her gender and race .

Dems are as much to blame to Trump being POTUS as much as the Republican voters are

Whilst that is a bit of a sweeping statement...............there is some truth to it.

Liberals just make stuff up and show their ignorance daily. No serious political analyst was surprised by the result in any nation. This can easily be checked by looking at the odds prior.

How is dragging Europe into essentially direct war with Russia by blasting UK and USA missiles deep inside Russia be "benefitting members of the alliance"??

Illegitimate and insecure Presidency is a clear danger to life on earth. We need much more electoral integrity to ensure highjinks like in 2020 can never happen again(see my avatar, fake news and intel claiming the biden corruption laptop was a Russian plant, mules mass harvesting ballots, dems saying voter id is racist, no proper recounts etc etc).

Not knowing of the above explains why uninformed rest of worlders cant understand why Trump was desperately needed, and has such massive support.

So Australia is buying nuclear subs worth 500 billion buy Boing aircrafts and getting threatened with 25% tariffs on steel and aluminium

It is not difficult. Policies like lower taxes, secure borders, lower inflation win votes.

Who are these Europeans? They must be idiots.

Many European countries are a mess because they are run by liberals. America saved Europe in ww2 from Hitler. The cowardly French lost in a matter of weeks. The two dumbest people I've ever met both French. Europe should be happy Trump won so the Ukraine war will end sooner. Biden took no steps to end the war because he is a complete idiot.

Understand?

It is the "economical alliance" I mainly refer to. Economical alliances go hand in hand with military alliances.

Regarding being pompous and overbearing, when you're in a powerful position do you really need to act timid and have false humility? I've seen people with way less power (or no power) just as pompous and over-bearing.

As Shakespeare said, "there is nothing good or bad. Only thinking makes it so."

Maybe the status quo needs to be upended and maybe the world needs someone who is more outside the box than most other politicians.

No one knows what he will do yet, so how can you judge?

Americans were primarily concerned because 5 or 6 million people came into the country illegally and were given money, living, accommodations, and health care, while nobody even bothered to check what their backgrounds were. Americans don't like that and did something about it. Apparently, Europeans don't care who comes into their countries and lives freely off them.

What blows my mind is how a person can even ask such a question.  Are people in Europe so brainwashed and so divorced from reality that they don't see what's going on?

In the USA, the Democrats did it to themselves.  They pushed their woke agenda and extreme views too far. And especially damaging was the push to cancel free speech.  Of course, they didn't call that censorship. Nope.  They just went with the official lies.  Over and over. Anyone who didn't toe the line was peddling "misinformation" and had to be cancelled.  Do you need a list of the official lies?

Anyway, thanks to Elon Musk and his purchase of Twitter, and thanks to independent journalists like Tucker Carlson, the narrative cracked. Slowly at first, and then all of a sudden.  The Democrats were bankrupt,,along with their entire agenda. And so the USA  now has President Trump.

As for the established economic ties and rules based  international order?  The country can no longer afford business as usual.  Not with 41 trillion dollars of debt. The choice was clear:  reform now, or lose America. Americans chose America.  Of course, that may well prove to be a short sighted selection, but people were fed up.

If you haven't noticed, the is a conservative voter backlash among the public.  In Romania Călin Georgescu took 22% of the votes and the courts annulled the election, because?  He wasn't supposed to win.  He's the wrong candidate.  He's like conservative.  All conservatives are in the EU are not branded "Far-Right Wing Extremists" as well as "Putin's Puppets." It's all nonsense.  The status quo does not want change via the ballot box so they are willing to upend democracy and call it "saving democracy."  The status quo IS the problem.

So the betting pools are not betting that Călin Georgescu will now take 40% of the vote in the upcoming election.  Why?  Because the voters are rebelling against the move to upend democracy in the name of "saving democracy." People aren't stupid - they was though it.

That's now the state of the EU.  Talk about banning the German AfD, banning France's National Rally, and banning anyone who threatens the "status quo" which has worn out its welcome - and the people are rebelling: at the ballot box.

That's what happened in the US.  Same same, not different.   The vast majority of European voters are about to vote into office the candidates and the parties that they are being told by the status quo are "dangerous."  People are tired - they want change.

Most Brits I hear absolutely love his approach to immigration and 'only two genders'. Most are wishing we had a leader with such conviction on those topics.

Maybe the UK is an outlier. Or maybe your comment was just wishful thinking.

Why do you need to post something like this when it's obvious what your opinion is? BTW is outstanding that that you can speak for "the overwhelming majority of Europeans". When was the last time you had a conversation with these hundreds of millions of people about Trump?

Currently, the "approval rate" of European voters supporting "Donalds Universe" is about 15%.  According to polls.
