What does 'provide" mean? Google it.

And stop bickering and trolling

Provide means to supply or give, so how about you stop bickering and trolling.

You post was very clear, immigration will provide a flight.

A charmed life he lead/leads.

If this had been I, there is no telling what might have happened, including dire consequences.

Just a matter of luck.

oh yes you're right I stand corrected. Maybe it was flagged in their computer for 25 years this guy overstayed his 30 days and simply didn't know where to find him because his passport was never registered doing rentals. Seems unlikely though so I wonder how he got away for so long.

i reckon that Bimmer was parked outside a 7/11 again  :whistling:

You get a state pension in the UK when you are 66, how old is this guy I wonder?

Someone said he is 60.

He might get a private pension or life insurance?

But what is sure he got a source to live for the last 25 years. So there will be money to pay his flight back.

If you read the thread more carefully , you would have seen a link:  Thai police arrest Briton for overstaying visa by 25 yearsThey moved to Chiang Mai 12 years ago for economic reasons, although police said the man does not have a job and lives on money from his family in Britain.

Well blow me can not see the link in the OP show link

OP states Entered Thailand on January 9, 2000, with a 30-day visa exemption, the man did not seek an extension. He lived in Bangkok for 13 years, later moving to Chiang Mai for another 12. He even obtained a new passport during his prolonged stay, potentially evading detection.

State benefits cannot be paid to non-UK residents.  State pension is not a benefit,

Not true, state pensions can be paid to UK pensioners who leave the country and live long-term in other countries, the annual triple lock rise will not be applied though so the pension amount is frozen.

Being in receipt of a frozen state pension, I am well aware of that; I was referring to state social security benefits.

If read in the context of my previous comments on the same subject it would have been totally clear.   Not only are some posters not mind readers, many do not even seem to be readers!

The State Pension is described in legislation as a “benefit” in order to root it within the existing social security framework.
