Earlier this month, President Macron announced plans for a significant expansion of France’s security forces, aiming to increase the number of operational reservists from 40,000 to 100,000 by 2035.

He's a dreamer. Does he imagine there are 60,000 guys prepared to put up with the BS in the military? Short of making it financially attractive, he's going to come up short on that, IMO.

I hope the survival kits include white flags.  They've saved more French lives than any other accessory.

Instructions on safely dropping your rifle should also be included.

Indeed. I can't think of any war/ conflict that the French have won since before Waterloo. That's a pretty sad resume of the French military.

Which is a shame, because I have a lot of respect for the French people.  But not for their so called leaders.

More MAGA drivel, though not unexpected.

We called them cheese eating surrender monkeys back in the '60s.  That was over half a century before MAGA.

They need to revise Godwin's Law to include mentioning Trump, and not just Hitler.

And once again, that's a slur on their feckless leaders, not the people.  Who probably would have fought on.

Macron is surely aware that France, along with the rest of the EU, is headed for the toilet, so he is going to need troops for national security, not against external actors, but the inevitable internal uprising.

Why not post some images of your combat ribbons and citations. Don't have any?

Maybe you can post X-ray images of your bone spurs.

I noted this before to you MAGA cowards....

Drive through rural France. Almost every small town or commune has an obelisk near the Mairie's office listing the names of those who sacrificed in WWI and with the Resistance and Free French in WWII.

Had you ever served, especially if you had dealt with French soldiers, you would know no military person considers them anything but skilled, courageous and lethal. You'd disgrace your panties if even facing a trained French female soldier.

Your messiah never served, and is not only a coward, he called those who served "suckers and losers". So willfully ignorant is he that when he was on a launch at Pearl Harbor with Gen Kelly, heading out to the USS Arizona memorial, as asked Kelly, "So what is this boat all about?"

When did you fight in anything? Keyboard warrior.

Apparently French women are rather nice, so perhaps the men prefer making love to fighting.

That's something I've always admired about the French.  In my country, the people are afraid of the gub'ment.  In France, the gub'ment is nervous about the will of the people.  And that's the way it should be.

Do tell. Hitler had one he was in charge of. Since 1900 France lost in WW1, WW2, Algeria, Vietnam. Currently getting booted out of their ex African colonies. There may be more that I'm not aware of.
