Hi there, I've lived in Thailand for the past 24 years and I never had any problems when using my Aussie credit card for online purchases. In recent months I've needed to renew my annual subscriptions for my antivirus and other programs. That's where my problem starts, I can enter all the details but then it cuts off so I don't get a net code to complete any these transactions. Has anyone else come across this problem and is there a way around this? The bank in question is Commbank. Thanks

Try a different browser. Plain chrome for example. Many sites use cloudflare to screen the traffic and it indiscriminately blocks in an invisible manor. I recently completed my US taxes and it was blocking the uploading of documents, without any indication of why. After wasting a significant amount of time, I switched to brave and it took the docs right away. Cloudflare sucks.

I do receive net codes but not for online sales. I've also tried it with with 2 other debit cards from Thai banks and I have the same problem.

That is interesting. Are you receiving the net codes on an Australian number or a Thai number. I could not set up net codes for a Thai number with CBA. Actually it was difficult to do with an Australian number and required a visit to a branch.

Get the Commbank Mobile App as I have done. The Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) offers a mobile banking app that allows users to receive One-Time Passwords (OTPs) through the app via the internet rather than through SMS. OTPs can appear as notifications on your phone's screen, allowing you to access them without needing to open the app.

Atually you can send net codes to a Thai number from CBA. I do that. But you need to phone the bank and get them to change the number held in their data

base. You cannot do it yourself online.

Thanks, it was 2 years ago that I tried. As I said before had to go to a branch to get it done.

Maybe CBA are upgrading themselves. They also now have competitive AUD-THB transfers with no fees, the opposite of what they were before.
