Dear Folks,

Whatever happened to the Tina we once loved?

Did she try to push the envelope so hard that she became a caricature of her good self?

Has great music become less music and more show for those who do not really care that much about music?

Tina once had Taste.

But, now?

How did she fall prey to whatever she fell prey to.....?

PTSD....maybe?

Just wondering....

Regards,....

Note: For just one comparison....here is a MUCH more TASTEFUL Tina.....

Oh, wait....she was not so tasteful in this one, either....

Note: BUT, We remember when she was .....GREAT......

Oh no, wait, are you saying Tina can’t taste anything anymore? Like, she lost her actual taste buds? That’s awful. No wonder she’s not being as tasteful, she probably doesn’t even know! Has anyone checked if she’s got one of those conditions where food just tastes like cardboard? I had that once but it turned out I was just eating actual cardboard.

Also, you mentioned an envelope, was there something important inside it? Like maybe a secret letter she was meant to read but she pushed it too hard and now she doesn’t know what was in it? Maybe it was a recipe for her taste to come back. Or a warning. Or a voucher.

And I think I had that PTSD once at my cousin’s barbecue. It was Perfect Taco Salsa Dip right? Really spicy one, came in a jar shaped like a cowboy boot? I dipped a Dorito in it and couldn’t feel my tongue for two days. Maybe Tina had too much of it and that’s how she lost her taste. Someone should check her fridge.

Anyway I hope she finds her flavour again. Maybe with less envelope pushing and more envelope opening. Bless her.

OP

She’s passed.  Get with the times grandpa.

She always had it.  Great performer.

She had it, for sure....

And, she still had it here, in 1985.....

AND here....

Why not give Lisa her due, in Gimme Shelter spats, she's not that bad. :coffee1:

She is WONDERFUL.

Amazing.

Who here ever said otherwise.

Probably one of the most underrated performers of all time.

Lisa Fischer is amazing...

In fact...

She stole the show...away from Mick....no doubt.....

Although, Mick did do a great impression of Ian Anderson.....must admit....

And, looks like Lisa is wearing a NUT-BROWN something or other....

Probably just BROWN-SUGAR...

It's called necrophilia

Didn’t you say that you struggled in Pattaya and went back to Australia because you had no friends and random people avoided you?  You were seeking recommendations for deep sea fishing but didn’t want to go on a trip with others because humans don’t understand you or enjoy your company. Or was that your alter ego, georgegeorgia, gammaglobuin?  Where is the rimming queen when you need him?
