Full MRI Body Scan opinions

Been a long time since back on this site. I am a cancer and stroke survivor who had extension radiation and chemo and its been 7 and 4 years now. Currently experiencing some major migraines and other health problems. I need some piece of mind to quell the anxiety I feel and therefore want to get a complete analysis of my body. Does anyone have experience and recommendations with qualtlity and value oriented hospitals that are exceptional at this.

Is Sheryl still on this site? I recall she was a great source for medical info.

She should be along soon.  Meanwhile, you may want to use the forum search function because this has been discussed in the past.  You may get more info from that than you would from a new thread.

Not that I object to new threads because things do change.  But eventually, posters (myself included) get tired of posting the same info again and again.

Appreciate your input impluse, and I certainly understand. Can you suggest some key words to search as nothing comes up under body scan?

Here is the cheapest price you will find in Thailand. At www.mrithailand.com a whole body scan is 60,000 baht

at this clinic in Ho Chi Minh City, you would likely be able to get a whole body scan for half that. https://yersinclinic.com/

If you use chrome browser to translate the page, you can get an idea of prices in HCMC for MRI’s https://bookingcare.vn/cam-nang/8-dia-chi-chup-cong-huong-tu-mri-uy-tin-tai-tp-hcm-p1709.html

Thailand is no longer the cheap place for medical treatment / diagnosis that it once was. These private hospitals are publicly listed companies and are all about emptying your wallet to please their shareholders. Just have a look at how many  hospitals BDMS owns https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangkok_Dusit_Medical_Services#

The OP posted this in the Chiang Mai sub-forum, whereas he's more likely to get a response from Sheryl if it were posted in the Health & Medicine sub-forum where she is most active.

There is an outfit in Chiang Rai city called Udom Medical Group (t might be Udon Medical Group).

All they do is MRI, X-Ray, Mammogram, CT Scan and nothing else.

You need a doctor's note to go there, but it's cheaper than the government hospital (they sent me there).  I paid about 10,000 baht for an abdomen MRI.

I was told the only MRI option in Chiang Mai is at Sriphat Imaging Center. I recently did a lower torso scan there, it was about 40,000 baht all in, i am sure it can be done cheaper if you do out-patient. I left with a CD-ROM of the images.

I don't know if you can walk-in and talk to someone about arranging a scan without a doctor referral, but they do have a reception desk and helpful staff there.

I don't know who told you that.

Sriphat is not the only MRI option in Chiang Mai.

I've been taken to the one near city hall - cheaper than Sriphat.

Are you incapable of reading the OP's post.

He said "Does anyone have experience and recommendations with quality and value oriented hospitals that are exceptional at this."

He did NOT say "must be in Chiang Mai".  I posted an easily commutable option in a day.

I went occasionally to TlRAM, Sriphat and Lanna. And to the Gerontology Hospital.

All recommended.the doctors are going from one to the other.

So ask for the prices since it's not a special issue.

I reckon Sriphat is not expensive. Similar Gerontology.

He's talking about which forum section the post is in.  Which is the Chiang Mai sub forum.

It would have been better if the poster had put it in the medical forum and mentioned in the message he was in Chiang Mai.

Argumentative and silly.

I am actually in Canada but wait times and the evaluation is brutal. It is getting so bad I am prepared at this point  to travel almost anywhere.

Thanks everyone for your reply. I will take the suggested advice and post in the Medical forum. My apologies for cluttering up this one.
