Trump's totally insane, totally unjustified by any economic theory trade war on the entire world including close allies was the opposite of that.

Just an idle thought - manufacturing steel requires a very large amount of electricity. Given where Pittsburgh is, how much of that electricity is supplied from Canada?

 

Still, I am sure the "stable genius" thought that one through!

The USA has a positive trade balance with Australia. That means America suffers more.

 

IMO there is not anything America can supply which we can't get elsewhere without tariffs.

 

Just rely on China for everything.
